Open the tank valves slowly, check the pressure gauges, and adjust the regulators to your working pressure. Connect the hoses to the respective tanks and to the torch handle, ensuring tight connections. Attach the appropriate cutting or welding tip. Purge the lines individually by briefly opening then closing the torch valves to expel air. Open the acetylene valve slightly, light the gas, then slowly open the oxygen valve to adjust the flame to your task. Always wear protective gear and work in a well-ventilated area.
