Meghmani Finechem FY23 PAT up 40% at Rs. 353 Cr
Meghmani Finechem Limited (MFL), India’s leading integrated chemical manufacturer, registered a strong operating and financial performance for the quarter and year ended March 31st, 2023. MFL posted 40% jump in PAT at Rs. 353 crore for FY 23 as against Rs. 253 crore in FY22. Revenue for the year ended March 31, 2023 rose by 41% to Rs. 2,188 crore as compared to Rs. 1,551 crore in FY22. EBITDA grew 35% to Rs. 689 crore. Margin stood at 31% (33% FY22) on account of high cost of inventory compared to realization. Commenting on the results, Maulik Patel; Chairman and Managing Director, MFL said: “FY 2022-23 was a very exciting year, despite business undergoing through lot of volatility, realizations were at their peak at the start of the year and dropped sharply by the end of the year. Meghmani to invest Rs. 230 crores in expanding caustic soda production capacity
Meghmani Finechem Limited (MFL)- a Flagship Company of Meghmani Group makes an announcement to expand existing Caustic Soda Plant from 294000 TPA to 400000 TPA with upgrading Captive Power Plant capacity from 96 MW to 132 MW at its Chloroalkali and Derivative Complex at GIDC Dahej, Bharuch. The total cost of the project will be about Rs. 230 crores. This additional caustic plant is expected to be operational by March 2022 and will generate additional Revenue of Rs. 250 Cr with optimum utilization. After this expansion, the installed capacity of Chlorine will be increased to 352000 TPA and Hydrogen to 116 million NM3 per annum. Chlorine and Hydrogen produced from this plant will cater the growing demand from various segments like, Agrochemicals, Pharmaceutical and downstream value chain like Chloromethanes, Hydrogen Peroxide, Epichlorohydrin and CPVC resin. ABS is known for its toughness and impact resistance, making it suitable for drainage, waste, and vent pipes, especially in colder temperatures. It’s black in color. On the other hand, PVC is white or cream-colored and is used for similar applications but also in high-pressure water delivery. PVC is more flexible than ABS and can handle higher water temperatures, making it preferable for hot water lines. The choice between ABS and PVC depends on local building codes, the specific application, and environmental conditions. ABS tends to be cheaper but doesn’t handle thermal expansion as well as PVC does. PVC, however, requires additional considerations due to its chlorine content when burning, releasing toxic fumes.
