Q
will laser photo paper work in inkjet
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
Using laser photo paper in an inkjet printer is generally not recommended. Laser photo paper is specifically designed to withstand the high temperatures generated by the laser printing process, which is quite different from the technology used in inkjet printers. Inkjet printers, on the other hand, spray microscopic droplets of liquid ink onto paper. Since laser photo paper is designed to cope with heat rather than absorb liquid, using it in an inkjet printer can lead to poor image quality and smudging, as the ink may not be absorbed properly. Additionally, the coating on laser paper can potentially harm the inkjet printer's printhead over time. For best results and to avoid printer damage, it's advisable to use paper types recommended by your printer’s manufacturer.
