Q
how to emulsion paint a room
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
Emulsion painting a room is a straightforward process but requires preparation. Begin by clearing out the room, or moving furniture to the center and covering it along with the floor with dust sheets. Use painter's tape to protect window frames, skirting boards, and door frames. Ensure the walls are clean, dry, and smooth. Fill any holes or cracks with filler and sand down when dry. Prime the walls if necessary, especially if you’re painting a light color over a dark one, or working with new drywall. Stir the emulsion paint thoroughly. Starting from the ceiling, use a brush for edges and corners, then a roller for the larger surfaces. Apply at least two coats for even coverage, allowing the paint to dry fully between coats, following the manufacturer's directions. After the final coat is dry, carefully remove the painter's tape. Clean your brushes and rollers, and move your furniture back in once the room is fully dry.
