Q
what happens when you mix cyan and yellow pigment
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
When you mix cyan and yellow pigment, you essentially get a green color. This is because pigment colors work through a subtractive color model, absorbing (subtracting) certain wavelengths of light and reflecting others. Cyan pigment absorbs red light but reflects green and blue light, and yellow pigment absorbs blue light but reflects red and green light. When combined, the only color wavelength both pigments reflect is green, since cyan absorbs the red that yellow reflects and yellow absorbs the blue that cyan reflects. The exact shade of green can vary depending on the proportions and specific shades of cyan and yellow used in the mix.
