Q
how to bend resin models
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
Bending resin models requires careful handling due to their brittle nature. Start by heating the part gently using a hairdryer or a heat gun on a low setting; this softens the resin, making it more pliable. Hold the piece with a pair of smooth-jawed pliers or tweezers to avoid leaving marks. Gradually apply pressure to the heated area while supporting the opposite side to prevent cracking. Work slowly and monitor the bending process closely. Once the desired shape is achieved, cool the part quickly using cold water or an air blast to set the new form. If the model cracks during bending, use superglue or epoxy resin to repair it. Always wear protective gear like gloves and goggles and work in a well-ventilated area.
