Q
what to use to shine epoxy resin
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
To achieve a high-gloss finish on epoxy resin, you can use a few different methods. A common approach is to use polishing compounds or pastes specifically designed for resin. Start with a coarse compound and gradually move to a finer one to eliminate any scratches or imperfections. Additionally, automotive polishes or plastic polishes can be very effective. For a DIY solution, a mixture of water and a small amount of mild dish soap can be used with a soft, lint-free cloth for light polishing. For deeper scratches or to restore shine, wet sanding with progressively finer grits (starting from 400 and moving up to 2000 or more) followed by polishing can bring back the resin's luster. Always ensure the resin is fully cured before attempting to polish, and wear appropriate safety gear to protect your skin and lungs.
