Q
how to connext pex to pvc
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
To connect PEX to PVC, you typically use a fitting that has a PEX connection on one end and a PVC solvent connection on the other. Start by cutting the pipes cleanly using a pipe cutter. For the PVC side, apply primer to the outside of the pipe and inside the fitting, then apply PVC cement on both, and insert the pipe into the fitting, twisting slightly to ensure an even distribution of cement. Hold in place for a few seconds to ensure it sets. For the PEX side, slide a PEX ring onto the pipe, insert the barbed end of the fitting into the PEX pipe, then use a PEX crimp tool to crimp the ring securely around the pipe and fitting. Always follow local plumbing codes and manufacturer instructions for the best results.
