The above three pictures show what my BRZ looks like now, with enkei rpf1 wheels, fgk exhaust and valenti second-generation taillights. For people who love cars, modification is a process, and if you look at your son a little bit in line with your heart, you will have more satisfaction and happiness.
Today's post would like to talk about BRZ avoidance and the installation of the hem arm, which may be a little boring and boring, and I am not a car professional, only an ordinary amateur car, please understand and point out if there is something wrong.
My BRZ has used the original factory sachs OEM shock absorber and the original factory hem arm for three years, in fact, the original factory setting for walking and occasional intense driving can be said to be very good, very balanced, but as I often run the Tianma Mountain Racecourse, the support and response of the original factory shock absorber has become the bottleneck of my driving skills. It just so happens that a friend has a set of HKS4SP in stock in the modification store to avoid it, and the price is quite good (just over 10,000). One year, the official HKS warranty was guaranteed and the man-hour fee was exempted, so he picked up his head and obediently paid the "tuition fee".

After replacing the HKS4SP tooth shock absorber, the preset setting in the manual is used at first. In the case of using the lower swing arm of the original car, the inclination angle behind the height of the two fingers on the wheel can reach-2.8 degrees. If the shock absorber is reduced to a lower level, the rear inclination angle will be larger, which will affect the stability of the straight line. My initial data is before camber-2.5 after-2.8 recordtoe-0.6 after + 0.2, a feeling wow, straight with a car like, steering is particularly sensitive, the steering wheel gently move the whole car turned, and even a little glamorous. And according to the preset damping words, the whole car is a little poor in shock, bumpy, and the road is extremely rich and direct, which can be dealt with for a novice like me. I still have to avoid for a month, I dare to drive this car, so active for walking the street is still a bit dangerous. In the words of my friend, it is: "your car is a road replicator, is it driven by a man?"
Four-wheel positioning must be done after adjusting the shock absorber.
After driving in this way for a few months, I gradually got used to this set of shock absorbers. I also ran many laps in the inner ring viaduct in Shanghai (I feel that the "rotten" road, which was built earlier to the north of the Yangpu Bridge and to the west of the Nanpu Bridge, is a good place to measure and withstand shocks. the joints are particularly bumpy, of course, they obey the traffic rules when measuring, and there are no speed and dangerous driving behaviors), and they have also run in actual combat in Tianshan. This set of avoidance can basically hold Hantai TD this kind of specification hot, the sex is very tough. After this period of driving, my requirement for this set of shock absorbers is that the high-speed rebound is very important, and the inner ring crossing the ridge and the sky pressure shoulder must restore the grip of the wheel in the most time, and the support is relatively sufficient and does not need to be too much litres. the back corner should be brought in, but the straight stability is very poor, and you don't need to be too flexible when walking the street.
So my car got on the shelf again.
It's a little stressful to park with three Ferraris.
This time, I replaced the front tripod arm, rear swing arm, foot tie rod and extension arm of the BRZ in order to adjust the suspension geometry so that the inclination and foot of the rear wheel can be adjusted. At the beginning, I used the hardrace rear hem arm, which is iron and heavy, and the fish eye head is quickly worn. Later, I changed the aluminum and CNC lightweight arm to swing the arm, while the front corner swing arm, extension arm and foot tie rod are also used by hardrace, which is not a problem at present. However, fish's eyes say that the mileage of Ken will sound strange when it is long, and this has been psychologically accurate. After the replacement of these modifications, the bushing must be reset, otherwise the rubber will break down. The most important thing is that the screws must be tightened, and don't swing your arms off like a certain steam brand.

A modified car with performance is to spend money where it can hardly be seen on the outside.
At present, the chassis parameters of my BRZ are before Camber-2.4 post-1.8 dint toe front-0.2 + 0.08 grader caster is set by the original factory, the height is in order to maintain the passability of the front and rear fingers (the rear wheel is open, it is pressed to one finger), and the damping is also adjusted a little, this Ding street is safer, less flexible and relatively safe, the support is as full as before, but the bounce is a little softer. The rest of the movement is almost gone, and the grip behind the ground is much higher than that. I'm going to go to Tianma this weekend. I think the front wheel of the next track needs to be more tilted. Everyone's driving habits and level are the same, this parameter is more in line with my driving skills, I am personally very satisfied with the shock absorber and chassis of this car, but there is still room to continue to adjust.

Having said so much, I still want to say that retrofitting is a bottomless pit, which takes a lot of time, energy and money to pile up. If you don't have enough time and energy to get a car, do four-wheel positioning adjustment every three days, or you don't know much about this piece, it is recommended to use the original factory shock absorber, at least the new 86BRZ sachs shock absorber is very good, if you only want to reduce the height, STI short spring is enough. For the sake of generational equality, the original factory agrees with the majority of people, and the purpose of the installation is to make this car more in line with my driving habits, mention my driving skills, and grow up together.
