Q
how to fix cloudy cured epoxy
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
Cloudy cured epoxy can be a result of moisture contamination, inadequate mixing, or a cold curing environment. To fix it, sand the surface lightly with fine-grit sandpaper to remove any imperfections or surface cloudiness. After sanding, clean the surface thoroughly. If the cloudiness persists, applying a fresh coat of epoxy over the sanded surface can help. Ensure the environment is warm (ideally between 75°F and 85°F) and humidity is low to prevent moisture issues. Properly mix the epoxy resin and hardener according to the manufacturer's instructions to avoid future cloudiness. If the epoxy layer is too thick or if there are deep cloudy patches, it might be necessary to remove and reapply the epoxy completely.
