To put a picture on a glass block using an inkjet printer, first, print the image on a clear waterslide decal paper designed for inkjet printers. Ensure to mirror the image before printing if it contains text or needs to be oriented a specific way. Once printed, let the ink dry completely to prevent smudging. Cut out the image, leaving a narrow border around it. Next, prepare a bowl of warm water and submerge the decal paper until the backing starts to slide off easily. Carefully position the decal on the glass block, smoothing out any bubbles or wrinkles with a soft cloth. Once positioned, gently slide the backing away, leaving the decal on the glass. Pat it dry and allow it to cure as per the decal paper instructions, which often recommend letting it dry for a few hours up to overnight. To protect and seal the image, you can apply a clear acrylic sealer, which will also enhance its durability. This technique is excellent for crafts, personalized gifts, or decorative pieces.
