Q
how do you remove epoxy from glass
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
Removing epoxy from glass involves a careful approach to avoid damaging the surface. Start by applying a generous amount of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) or acetone to the epoxy. These solvents can weaken the epoxy's bond to glass. Leave it soaked for at least 15 minutes. Then, use a razor blade or a scraper designed for glass surfaces to gently scrape off the epoxy. Hold the blade at a 45-degree angle to avoid scratching the glass. If residues remain, apply more solvent and repeat the process. For tougher jobs, heating the epoxy with a hair dryer or heat gun can make it more pliable and easier to scrape off. However, use heat cautiously to prevent damaging the glass. After removal, clean the glass with soapy water to remove any residual solvent.
