Its dielectric strength is approximately 17-24 kV/mm, indicating its ability to withstand high voltages without breaking down. The material’s flexibility, combined with its insulation capabilities, ensures it is favored in applications requiring both electrical insulation and resilience to bending or deformation. However, its performance can be influenced by temperature and frequency, factors that might limit its usefulness in high-temperature or high-frequency applications. Overall, LDPE serves as an excellent insulator in a variety of electrical applications, particularly where low-cost and flexibility are prioritized.
