China National Salt Inner Mongolia Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is the largest secondary enterprise and the only listed company of China National Salt Industry Corporation. Its predecessor was the “Jilantai Salt Field” founded in 1953. After completing the corporate reform in 1996, the Jilantai Salt Chemical Group Co., Ltd. was established. In 1998, the Jilantai Salt Chemical Group Co., Ltd. established Inner Mongolia Lantai Industrial Co., Ltd. as the main sponsor. Lantai Industrial Co., Ltd. was listed in 2000. In 2005, the company was transferred to China National Salt Industry Corporation as a whole. In 2019, the company completed a major asset restructuring and was renamed “China National Salt Inner Mongolia Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.” in June 2020. In 2022, the company’s total assets will be 19.9 billion yuan, annual operating income will be 18.16 billion yuan, annual tax payment will be 1.868 billion yuan, and it will have more than 9,300 employees. It is a large cross-regional and cross-industry enterprise group with resource advantages, location advantages, technological advantages, and management advantages. It is one of the top 500 Chinese chemical companies, a national intellectual property advantage enterprise, the most promising listed company in China’s chemical industry, and a pilot enterprise for circular economy in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It has many honorary titles at the national and autonomous region levels, such as the National Civilized Unit.

China Salt Inner Mongolia Chemical is known as the dazzling “Desert Pearl” in the secret realm of northern Xinjiang. Enterprises are born out of salt. Chemical industry started with metallic sodium, and from two alkalis and two resins, it stepped into the era of large chemical industry. Through continuous chain strengthening, chain supplementation, and chain extension, it has become stronger, better, and bigger. At present, the company’s main production facilities include: a 400,000 tons/year polyvinyl chloride production line with complete domestic resources, a 230,000 tons/year paste resin production line with the largest domestic production scale, a 600,000 tons/year calcium carbide production line, a 360,000 tons/year caustic soda production line, a 2×135MW self-provided power plant, a 65,000 tons/year metallic sodium production line with the largest production capacity in the world, an 800 tons/year nuclear-grade sodium production line included in the National 863 Plan project, a 110,000 tons/year sodium chlorate production line with the largest single production capacity in China, and a 3.9 million tons/year soda ash production line.
