The Board of Directors of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited in their meeting held on 7th February, 2023 has granted in-principle approval for ‘Vision 1OK+ 2028’ for achieving annual revenues of more than Rs. 10,000 crore by 2028.  The ‘Vision 1OK+ 2028’ intends to create a road map for overall holistic growth of the company across various functions. The company would continue to identify various projects and products for achieving a growth plan of more than Rs. 10,000 crore by 2028.  GACL is one of the largest producers of Caustic Soda in India. From an initial capacity of 37,425 TPA of Caustic Soda, GACL has grown to be one of the largest producer of Caustic Soda in India with a capacity of 429,050 TPA spread over two complexes at Vadodara and Dahej. Knowing that the time ahead may prop-up newer hurdles, GACL has already started to diversify and expand its existing infrastructure to consolidate its supremacy in Chlor-Alkali and other integrated downstream products. Caustic-Chlorine being its prime product, the company has diversified into value added products like Sodium Cyanide, Chloromethanes, Hydrogen Peroxide, Potassium Carbonate, Phosphoric Acid, etc. These value added products provide dual benefit to the organization by hedging against cyclical fluctuations in the Chlor-Alkali Industry.  The company has made its presence felt across the globe even against stiff competition by exporting products to USA, Europe, Australia, Africa, Far & Middle East countries, China & South Asian Markets.
