Payal Group announces setting up of India’s first primary plasticizers plant in South India
Payal Group has signed up an MoU with BPCL for the supply of Oxo-Alcohols for its 30 KTA greenfield plasticizers plant in Southern India. Payal Group, India’s leading manufacturer of Plasticizers and Chlorinated Paraffins announces the setting up of a 30 KTA greenfield manufacturing facility of primary & speciality plasticizers in Tamil Nadu. For this, it has signed an MOU on 16th August 2022 with BPCL for the supply of Oxo-Alcohols from its Kochi plant, in the presence of S Jena, Executive Director (I&C), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited & S Srinivasan, Executive Director, Sales (I&C), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited & Nikhil Chandra Gupta, Managing Director, Payal Group. This will be India’s first primary plasticizers plant in the southern part of the country. This plant will focus on the production of Phthalate-free plasticizers & other REACH-compliant speciality plasticizers which are the key inputs for the Wire & Cable, Footwear, and Coir Mat industry among various other applications. With the commissioning of this project by the second half of 2023, Payal Group’s total plasticizer capacity will increase to 210 KTA including the current 180 KTA, it has at its Daman & Dahej plants. This project has been envisaged with the intent of serving the thriving downstream PVC industry in the region and reducing their dependence on imported raw materials. It is another step towards Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s initiatives of ‘Make in India’ & ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ by Payal Group and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
