Chandra, Indonesia's largest integrated petrochemical company Asri broke ground on its second world-class petrochemical complex (CAP2 project) in Indonesia to meet China's growing demand for petrochemical products and reduce its dependence on imports. The CAP2 complex will increase the company's total production capacity from 4.2 million tons per year to more than 8 million tons per year. It is expected to boost the local downstream petrochemical industry, reduce the burden of imports, support job creation, and realize Indonesia's "Made in Indonesia 4.0" ambition to become one of the top 10 economies by 2030. As part of its ambition, Wood has been contracted by the petrochemical giant to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) facilities for the CAP22 complex.
