Wood secures FEED contract for Chandra Asri’s CAP2 petchem complex

Chandra, Indonesia's largest integrated petrochemical company Asri broke ground on its second world-class petrochemical complex (CAP2 project) in Indonesia to meet China's growing demand for petrochemical products and reduce its dependence on imports. The CAP2 complex will increase the company's total production capacity from 4.2 million tons per year to more than 8 million tons per year. It is expected to boost the local downstream petrochemical industry, reduce the burden of imports, support job creation, and realize Indonesia's "Made in Indonesia 4.0" ambition to become one of the top 10 economies by 2030. As part of its ambition, Wood has been contracted by the petrochemical giant to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) facilities for the CAP22 complex. HDPEOD will be HDPEOD, PP, FEED ready for the terminal, tank farm and project interface management. before EPC bidding, Wood has worked with Toyo Engineering Co. and Samsung Co. and PT Haskoning Indonesia, we are pleased to announce the CAP2 Remaining FEEED Complex Package. The selection of four leading international contractors to execute the FEED work marks an exciting new chapter for the project. Based on a jointly developed target timetable, we will work with the selected contractors to deliver the project.The FEED project was launched with the hope of delivering the CAP2 project to the national economy and all industries based on the successful and safe completion of the existing complex integrated master plan. Further cementing our position as a growth partner: "This new contract continues our proven track record of delivering reliable projects for large and complex petrochemicals and collaborative Asri strategic partnership with Chandra Indonesia. "The CAP2 project," he said, includes a naphtha cracker, butadiene, an aromatics recovery unit (benzene, toluene, mixed xylenes), a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant, a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) the unit (the first LDPE plant in Indonesia). and polypropylene plant (PP)), the contract will be delivered by the project team of Wood Center of Excellence, Thailand.
