Sanjay Shende has been appointed as Vice President of GAIL (India) Limited, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the Company.

Schende has a rich and illustrious career spanning nearly 30 years in B2B sales, export, marketing, etc. He is a civil engineer by training. He is trained as a civil engineer and has a post graduate degree in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.

Shende GAIL is located at Patta Petrochemical Complex, Uttar Pradesh He started his career in the commissioning phase with an aim to set up polymer logistics/supply chain. Thereafter, since 2000, he joined the Mumbai regional office and was responsible for polymer sales in Maharashtra and Goa, making the region one of GAIL's three sales zones. He has been instrumental in developing GAIL's polymer export business.

In addition, at Dahej Uran Dabhol, we pioneered the use of GAIL's HDPE internally laminated triple-layer PE coatings for coated pipelines during the pipeline construction phase.

He led the sales of RLNG after the commissioning of the Dahej Uran Dabhol Panvel pipeline (2008) and the entry of RLNG into the Maharashtra and Goa markets.

In 2011, he joined GAIL's regional office in Ahmedabad, where he was responsible for the marketing of natural gas, polymers and liquid hydrocarbons in Gujarat, contributing about 25% to GAIL's total revenue. From 2015 to 2018, he worked in the Petrochemicals Marketing Group in Noida, where he was responsible for formulating various policies and pricing for polymers.

Since 2018 For many years, he has been leading the GAIL Hyderabad regional office responsible for marketing and border management of GAIL Andhra Pradesh and Telangana activities.

Prior to joining GAIL, he worked with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited.
