Univation to provide PE process technology for Amur Gas project

Amur Gas Chemical Complex, LLC (AGCC) SIBUR is Russia's largest integrated petrochemical company (SIBUR) The projects implemented are three world-class PE projects Univation selects Univation Technologies UNIPOL PE process technology. The three lines will be part of a global-scale integrated project that includes the design and construction of two additional SIBUR petrochemical lines near the town of Svobodny in the Amur Region of the Far East of the Russian Federation. 

The integrated manufacturing assets of the Gas Chemical Complex project will bring the total design capacity of polyolefins to 2, 7 million tons per year. To ensure large-scale PE production capacity and maximize PE production flexibility, AGCC plans to have two 600,000 tpa full density HDPE/LLDPE production units and three 600,000 tpa UNIPOL PE process lines. These three lines are designed for a total capacity of 1.8 million tons/year of UNIPOL PE process. With these capabilities, AGCC plans to capitalize on the entire HDPE family, LLDPE and metallocene LLDPE product opportunities, including traditional bulk products and specialty applications. AGCC utilizes Univation's state-of-the-art software platform for process control functions and virtual process training tools. Univation PREMIERR Process Control Software APC provides state-of-the-art process control functionality designed to maximize productivity, facilitate rapid product changeover, and improve the overall operational reliability of the UNIPOL PE process. 

The Univation UNIPOL PE Virtual Plant Simulator (UVPS) provides a highly realistic training experience by simulating all key operational aspects of the UNIPOL PE software PE plant with the look and feel of an authentic training environment for AGCCC operators.
