LyondellBasell has announced that Duqm Refining and Petrochemical Industries Company Limited (DRPIC) has selected LyondellBasell’s world-leading polypropylene (PP) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) technologies for its new plant. The new plant consists of a 280,000 tonnes/year PP plant for polypropylene (PP) and a 480 tonnes/year HDPE plant utilizing LyondellBasell’s Spheripolol PP process technology. The PP processing technology will enable the production of 280,000 tons of PP per year. The Hostalen ACP process technology will be located in Al Upper Duqm, Oman.
