The material is customized for blow molding of oil and lubricant bottles. Its content is 30% of mechanically recycled post-consumer plastics. Developing SABIC HDPE T3K01B required overcoming many technical challenges. The final material solution, which contains 30% post-consumer recycled content, has been fully tested at SABIC’s Plastics Application Development Center (SPDAC) in Riyadh. It is a blow-molded brand with the same batch consistency, processability and application characteristics as SABIC’s pure HDPE. Reliable bottle performance has been proven in comprehensive real-world testing, including standard drop impact, top load and dimensional stability tests. According to SABIC’s internal Life Cycle Assessment study, 100% virgin HDPE reduces carbon emissions by 20%* when consumed in 30% mechanically recovered compounds compared to grade*.
