Kolkata: Exide Industries Ltd launched its new automotive battery ‘Epiq’ in the Indian market.

The new battery range comes with “best-in-class” six-year warranty in the Indian market, the company said in a statement. The new batteries will be manufactured at Exide’s Upper Utilities plant across India and will be sold through 1,500 family premium Exide Care stores.

In a press release, the company said, “Epic it is being positioned and targeted at the top price range, but did not provide details on pricing,” adding, “Epic will be a major sub-brand of Exceeed.”

The lead-acid battery manufacturer has also launched various products for different segments of the automotive battery aftermarket.
