On September 6, it was reported that Double Star Group solemnly held the commissioning ceremony of the first phase of the Double Star Cambodia Tire Factory in the Kratie Provincial Special Economic Zone, Cambodia. This event brought together many important guests, including Xie Wudi, Secretary-General of the Development Council of Cambodia, Vato, Governor of Kratie Province, Chai Yongsen, Chairman of Double Star Group, and Zhang Qirong, Chairman of Zhongqi Group, to witness this historic moment.

This tire factory is an important project jointly built by Double Star Group and Zhongqi Group in response to the "Belt and Road" initiative. The factory has a total investment of approximately US$200 million and is expected to produce 8.5 million high-performance radial tires annually, including 7 million semi-steel radial tires and 1.5 million all-steel radial tires. This move not only demonstrates Double Star Group's ambition in international layout, but will also inject new vitality into the local economic and social development of Cambodia.

According to the Carbon Black Industry Network, the commissioning of Double Star's Cambodia tire factory has been highly praised by the Cambodia government. Secretary-General Xie Wudi said that Double Star chose to build a factory in Snoo County, Kratie Province, which fully demonstrated its recognition of the region's geographical advantages and economic development potential. He believes that the commissioning of this project will further promote the economic and social development of Kratie Province and create more job opportunities for the local area. Governor Vato also expressed similar views. He believed that the commissioning of Double Star's Cambodia tire factory will make a significant contribution to local economic growth and infrastructure development.
