On August 24, the third episode of Hebei Radio and Television's large-scale all-media special program "The Green Road-A Record of Hebei's Industrial Green Transformation and High-Quality Development","Energy Efficiency Revolution" reported that Sanyou Group focused on new industrialization energy efficiency goals and strengthened the circular economy., unswervingly follow the highlights of the road to green development.
In Caofeidian, Tangshan, the soda ash company under Sanyou Group has a 35-year history of soda production. Pipelines in the factory area are intertwined vertically and horizontally, transporting the concentrated seawater produced after desalination of seawater by Caofeidian Shougang Jingtang Iron and Steel Company through pipelines to it here for reuse, making the waste concentrated seawater "transform" and become an important raw material for alkali production.
Li Zhiquan, executive deputy general manager and chief engineer of Sanyou Group soda branch: Concentrated seawater contains a large amount of salt, which is a raw material for the production of alkali. As a company specializing in "eating salt", Sanyou Soda Company needs to extract more than 3 million tons of raw salt every year. Now by creating a new process and equipment, we recycle concentrated seawater, which not only "eats" salt, can replenish water, and also take into account environmental and economic benefits.
In the new era, when high-quality development of ecology and green has become a consensus and the coordinated development of desalination and the environment has been put on the important agenda, how to achieve both eliminating pollution and establishing a complete ecological and environmental protection industrial system for seawater purification, desalination, and extraction of seawater chemical resources? Sanyou Group has undertaken this mission.
Li Zhiquan, executive deputy general manager and chief engineer of Sanyou Group Soda Branch: Based on the concept of circular economy, we use the concentrated seawater produced by desalination in Caofeidian Industrial Zone for the production of soda ash to achieve organic integration with desalination, which not only solves the problem. The adverse impact of concentrated seawater waste on the marine environment, and make full use of sodium chloride and water in concentrated seawater to reduce the salt consumption and water consumption in soda ash production.
This pipeline and supporting refining project, which spans nearly 60 kilometers, are Sanyou Group's "magic weapon" to turn waste concentrated seawater into raw materials for alkali production. This process and equipment, with an investment of more than 500 million yuan, can save 750,000 tons of raw salt for Sanyou Group soda ash company every year.
Li Zhiquan, executive deputy general manager and chief engineer of Sanyou Group Soda Branch: Through this project, we have solved the problem of using salt for alkali production, but can we make more use of concentrated seawater because during the alkali production process, the amount of cooling water is still very large. Can we also use concentrated seawater for cooling? So our second phase of the project continued. The internal water tanks of the carbonization tower and absorption tower were replaced by seawater cooling, and the internal cooling tower was replaced by seawater cooling tower. The effect was very obvious.
This process does not seem to have any difficulties. In fact, the cooling of the tower is segmented. It must have appropriate temperature and pressure, and the heat exchange effect must be maintained without fouling. The corrosion resistance of the material is also very high. In the process of continuous exploration, Sanyou Group The use of concentrated seawater has once again expanded, with spiral plate coolers, ammonia brine coolers, hot waste and fresh liquid coolers, etc. being replaced by seawater for heat exchange.
Today, Sanyou Group soda company can save 10 million cubic meters of fresh water every year through comprehensive utilization technology of concentrated seawater, which is equivalent to saving more than half of the water in the West Lake and creating a value of hundreds of millions of yuan.
