According to Tuduo statistics, China's sponge titanium output in July 2024 was approximately 23,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.80%, and a year-on-year increase of 34.78%; from January to July 2024, sponge titanium output was approximately 148,300 tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.98%, and output increased by approximately 21,500 tons year-on-year.

Full-process enterprises maintain full-capacity production. Affected by the market, the starting load of individual semi-process enterprises has dropped, and the overall starting of the titanium sponge market is still at a high level.

In July 2024, China's top three domestic producers of titanium sponge production areas, Sichuan, Liaoning, and Yunnan, accounted for 22%, 20%, and 17% of the total domestic output respectively.

In July, the sponge titanium market stabilized and weakened. In early August, the price was lowered by 2000 yuan/ton compared with early July. The demand for downstream military and civilian products is still relatively weak, while the supply continues to be high, market shipping pressure is high, and sponge titanium prices are weak. In the short term, demand is difficult to support, and the market price of sponge titanium will continue to operate weak. However, the supply of titanium raw materials is tight and the price is high. The price of sponge titanium began to suffer losses. The market is under pressure, and the decline in market price may be limited.
