According to customs data, in September 2023, China imported 761.13 tons of titanium materials, a month-on-month increase of 21.33%; in September, it exported 2,678.55 tons of titanium materials, a month-on-month increase of 16.762%. From January to September 2023, China's cumulative imports of titanium materials were 6,393.46 tons, down 6.66% year-on-year; from January to September, the cumulative exports of titanium materials were 21,179.81 tons, an increase of 3.40% year-on-year.
The top three products imported from January to September 2023 are: titanium strips, rods, profiles and profiles, accounting for 29.10% of the total; followed by titanium plates, sheets, strips and foils with a thickness of ≤0.8mm, accounting for 28.05% of the total; and titanium plates, sheets and strips with a thickness of>0.8mm, accounting for 14.48% of the total.
1-9 The top three products in the cumulative export volume of titanium materials in the month were titanium plates, sheets and strips with a thickness of>0.8mm, accounting for 35.91% of the total; followed by titanium strips, rods, profiles and profiles, accounting for 30.38% of the total; and other wrought titanium and titanium products, accounting for 10.79% of the total. Demand in China's downstream market is weak, and the prices of imported titanium products are high, and the volume of imported titanium products is on a downward trend. However, China's supply is sufficient, and the cumulative export volume of some titanium products this year has increased to a certain extent compared with last year.
