According to customs data, in April 2023, China imported 346,200 tons of titanium ore, with an average monthly price of US$3,89.19/ton; in 2023, the cumulative import of titanium ore from 1 to 4 was 1.4499 million tons, an increase of 14.88% year-on-year, and the import volume increased by approximately 187,800 tons.

 

Among them, the top three countries with titanium ore imports in April were Mozambique, Kenya, and Vietnam, accounting for 47%, 16%, and 11% of the total imports.

In April 2023, China's titanium dioxide imports were 5,543.37 tons, an increase of 18.46% month-on-month and a year-on-year decline of 63.89%; from January to April 2023, China's titanium dioxide imports totaled approximately 18,698.58 tons, a decrease of 64.14% compared with the same period last year, and imports decreased by approximately 33,450.44 tons.

Among them, the top three regions for titanium dioxide imports in April 2023 are: China Taiwan, Japan, and Germany, accounting for 33%, 17%, and 15% of the total imports respectively.


 

In April 2023, China's titanium dioxide exports were 128,900 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 14.84%, and an increase of 8.66% year-on-year in the same period last year; in 2023, the cumulative export of titanium dioxide from 1 to 4 was approximately 566,000 tons, an increase of 11.72% year-on-year in the same period last year, and the export volume increased by approximately 59,400 tons.

Among them, the top three countries in titanium dioxide exports in April were: India, Brazil, and South Korea, accounting for 27%, 13%, and 13% of the total exports respectively.

 

The average monthly price of titanium dioxide imports in April 2023 was US$3,620.72/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 3%; the average monthly price of titanium dioxide exports in April was US$2,243.81/ton, a month-on-month increase of 6.4%.

Titanium dioxide export data remained good from January to April 2023. Demand in the Chinese market was weak and demand in the international market was relatively strong. The export volume of mainstream titanium dioxide exporting countries increased in varying degrees. At present, some titanium dioxide companies have export orders until late May, with strong export market support and titanium dioxide prices operating firmly.

In April 2023, China's sponge titanium exports were 356.05 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 37.49%, and a year-on-year increase of 3.42%; from January to April 2023, China's cumulative export volume of sponge titanium in January was approximately 1,370.4 tons, an increase of 178.89% over the same period last year, and the export volume increased by approximately 879.03 tons.

 

The top three regions for titanium sponge exports in April 2023 are Russia, Estonia and the Netherlands, accounting for 28%, 25%, and 24% respectively.

 

In April 2023, the import volume of sponge titanium was 0 tons. From January to April 2023, China's cumulative import volume of sponge titanium was approximately 100.05 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 100.00%, and the import volume decreased by approximately 5,091.47 tons.
