Analysis of China's ethanol production capacity distribution and partial downstream distribution

In 2023, China's effective edible and industrial ethanol production capacity will be 14.178 million tons (including enterprises within three years of shutdown), including corn ethanol production capacity of 8.53 million tons/year, cassava ethanol 4.005 million tons/year, coal ethanol 960,000 tons/year, molasses ethanol and wheat and other ethanol 683,000 tons/year.

Heilongjiang, Jilin and Henan rank among the top three in corn ethanol production capacity. Cassava ethanol production capacity is mainly concentrated in Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong and other regions.

In the later period, China's new production capacity was mainly concentrated in coal-based ethanol. Coal-based ethanol production capacity that will be built or may be built in 2023.

The total production capacity of downstream chemical ethyl acetate in 2023 will be 3.68 million tons/year, with an additional production capacity of 50+ 130,000 tons/year. Ethyl acetate production capacity is mainly concentrated in East China.

The ethylamine factory has only 4 factories in the country with a total production capacity of 220,000 tons/year, mainly concentrated in East China.

The annual production capacity of ethyl methyl carbonate in 2022 is about 660,000 tons/year, and the production capacity is expected to reach about 1 - 1.1 million tons in 2023. The main production capacity is concentrated in Shandong.
