Glass import and export analysis: According to customs data, glass imports in October 2024 were 15,900 tons, a year-on-year increase of 10%, and a month-on-month increase of 12%. From January to October 2024, the cumulative import volume was 178,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 13,100 tons, or 7.94%.
In terms of countries, the top three regions for glass imports in October were: Thailand, 4,900 tons, South Korea, 4,200 tons, and Japan, accounting for 33%, 28%, and 19% respectively.
According to customs data, glass exports in October 2024 were 64,700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 50%, and a month-on-month increase of 29.10%. From January to October 2024, the cumulative export volume was 411,600 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 181,100 tons, with a range of-30.56%.
In terms of countries, the top three regions for glass exports in October were Chile, 4,000 tons, Algeria, 3,700 tons, and Peru, accounting for 17%, 16%, and 16%, respectively.
