Glass import and export analysis: According to customs data, glass imports in September 2024 were 14,200 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1% and a month-on-month decrease of 4%. From January to September 2024, the cumulative import volume was 162,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11,600 tons, or 7.71%.
In terms of countries, the top three regions for glass imports in September were: Thailand, 4,100 tons, China Taiwan, 2,900 tons, and South Korea, accounting for 30%, 21%, and 21% respectively.
According to customs data, glass exports in September 2024 were 50,100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 6% and a month-on-month decline of 0.12%. From January to September 2024, the cumulative export volume was 346,800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 202,800 tons, with a range of-36.89%.
In terms of countries, the top three glass exports in September were South Korea with 0.4,000 tons, Peru with 3,700 tons, and Canada with 0.3,000 tons, accounting for 20%, 19%, and 15% respectively.
