Glass output and operating rate in September 2024
Glass production:In September 2024, China's glass output was 4.9885 million tons, down 1.87% year-on-year from 5.0837 million tons and 4.64% month-on-month from 5.2313 million tons; from January to September 2024, China's glass output totaled 46.9858 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.53055 million tons, with a range of 5.69%.
Glass operating rate:The operating rate of the glass market in September was 82.15%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.58%, and a month-on-month decline of 1.50%. This month coincides with a market holiday during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Coupled with the increase in float glass cold repair production lines, the operating rate continues to decline.
