According to customs data, in May 2024, China imported 575.13 tons of titanium materials, a month-on-month decrease of 7.74%; in May, it exported 2,756.31 tons of titanium materials, a month-on-month decrease of 13.35%. From January to May 2024, China's cumulative imports of titanium materials were 2,791.99 tons, down 23.87% year-on-year; from January to May, the cumulative exports of titanium materials were 13,689.54 tons, an increase of 18.96% year-on-year.
The top three products imported from January to May 2024 are: titanium bars, rods, profiles and profiles, with a cumulative import volume of 978.68 tons, accounting for 35.05% of the total; followed by titanium plates with a thickness of> 0.8 mm, sheets and belts, with a cumulative import volume of 594.15 tons, accounting for 21.28% of the total; and titanium plates, sheets, strips and foils with a thickness of ≤ 0.8 mm, 457.05 tons, accounting for 16.37% of the total.
1-5 The top three products in the cumulative export volume of titanium materials in the month were titanium plates, sheets and strips with a thickness of> 0.8 mm, with a cumulative export volume of 4,644.34 tons, accounting for 33.93% of the total; followed by titanium bars, rods, profiles and profiles, with a cumulative export volume of 3,932.98 tons, accounting for 28.73% of the total; and other wrought titanium and titanium products, with a cumulative export volume of 1,730.41 tons, accounting for 16.64% of the total.
