From January to August 2024, Japan's cumulative carbon black output was 352,900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.8%; cumulative shipments during the same period were 345,600 tons, a decrease of 4.3%. In the first eight months of this year, the cumulative carbon black export volume was 32,600 tons, an increase of 1.7%; the cumulative import volume was 69,100 tons, a decrease of 6.2%. In August 2024, carbon black output was 39,300 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.3%; Among them, the output of carbon black for rubber was 36,500 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.2%; the output of carbon black for non-rubber was 2,800 tons, an increase of 26.7%; In August 2024, carbon black shipments were 36,900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.2%; Among them, the shipments of carbon black for rubber were 34,800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8%; Shipments of non-rubber carbon black were 2,200 tons, an increase of 5.0%.
