On October 22, Shanxi Coking recently successfully completed the critical trial operation of its surplus steam comprehensive utilization project, marking that the project has officially entered a stable operation stage after careful preparation and construction. The test run lasted for 168 hours, during which the project performed excellently. It not only effectively solved the problem of utilization of surplus steam, but also significantly improved the environmental quality of the factory area, achieving dual improvements in economic benefits and environmental protection and energy conservation.
During the production process of Shanxi Coking, especially in spring, autumn and summer, it produces surplus high-pressure steam of about 50 tons/hour and 90 tons/hour respectively. In the past, if these high-quality steam resources were not properly utilized, it would not only cause huge energy waste, but also increase the consumption of desalted water, which runs counter to the current concept of energy conservation and emission reduction. In view of this, Shanxi Coking actively responded to the call of the state, closely combined with its own production reality, and adopted a series of innovative measures.
According to the Carbon Black Industry Network, the project strictly follows the principles of "advanced technology, strong practicality, high reliability, and reasonable economy" in design. Through in-depth optimization of process technology, two turbines with a power of 10 MW were successfully introduced. Steam turbine generator set. The efficient operation of these two units can convert the surplus steam generated during the production process into electrical energy, greatly improving energy utilization efficiency. When operating at full capacity, the project is expected to contribute an additional 14 million kilowatt-hours of power generation to the company every month, injecting strong impetus into the company's sustainable development.
