"This is a 6Al-4V titanium alloy test sample sent by Western Superconducting Materials Technology Co., Ltd. We will use the international standards formulated by the company to test it and issue a report to ensure that companies use it with confidence." On October 11, in a testing room of Xi'an Hantang Analytical and Testing Co., Ltd., Yang Junhong, the company's general manager, told reporters.

Titanium alloys have high strength, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and good comprehensive process properties. They are widely used in many industries such as aerospace, national defense and military, chemical energy, and civil medical care. As the country's largest titanium and titanium alloy production base, Shaanxi will process approximately 100,000 tons of titanium materials in 2023, accounting for 45% of the world's total processing volume.

In September last year, the international standard "Chemical Analysis Methods for 6Al-4V Titanium Alloy-Determination of Aluminum and Vanadium Content-Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy"(ISO 21339:2023) led by Xi'an Hantang Analysis and Testing Co., Ltd. was released. At present, it has provided technical services to many companies.

This is China's first international standard in the field of chemical analysis of titanium alloys. It unifies chemical composition inspection methods and methods for the widely used 6Al-4V titanium alloy. It also provides strong technical support for related trade between China and foreign countries, and helps Shaanxi build a world-class titanium and titanium alloy industry innovation cluster.

High standards lead to high quality. Leading the revision of international standards has enhanced the company's voice and added a pair of "wings" for products to go abroad.

"Last year, in the second month after the release of the" Minimum Requirements and Acceptance Conditions for Steel Wire Ropes Used in the Petroleum and Gas Industry "(ISO 10425:2023), which our company led the revision, China Export Trading Company signed an order with us for wire ropes to implement this international standard, with an order volume of approximately 1000 tons. We were particularly surprised." Bai Chenghai, executive director and general manager of Xianyang Baoshi Steel Pipe and Steel Rope Co., Ltd., said that this international standard supplements the specifications and technical indicators of the company's newly developed steel wire rope products. It not only adapts to the new needs of the world's oil and gas industry, but also provides high-quality development of the steel wire rope industry in China. Provide strong support.

The revision of this international standard has promoted the quality upgrade of oil drilling wire ropes of Xianyang Baoshi Steel Pipe and Rope Co., Ltd., and has played a great role in promoting the technological innovation and research of wire ropes for deep and ultra-deep wells. The ultra-high-strength compacted strand drilling wire rope developed by the company provides strong support for tackling the drilling of the deepest straight wells in Asia.

In recent years, the Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau has built a high-quality platform, broadened the main channels for enterprises to participate in international standardization work, organized and carried out enterprise standards "benchmarking and compliance" activities, implemented the enterprise standards "leader" system, and encouraged and guided enterprises to use international advanced standards. Research objects, identify gaps, and comprehensively promote product quality improvement. From 2018 to 2023, 10308 enterprises in Shaanxi announced that they had reached 5967 international and national standard products, accounting for 4.7% of the country's total. The consistency of enterprises in implementing international standards has been continuously improved; there are 68 "leaders" in national and provincial enterprise standards, involving 18 industries.

"As an important basic system, standards are an important technical force to support the improvement of product quality and promote high-quality industrial development. We will further strengthen standard guidance, help more companies benchmark international advanced standards, vigorously cultivate and develop new productivity, create more 'Made in China' brands with international influence, and let international standards further help 'Made in Shaanxi' improve quality and upgrade." Niu Zizhong, deputy director of the Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, said.
