Cabot recently announced that 19 of its 20 carbon black production bases around the world have successfully obtained safety performance recognition from the International Carbon Black Association (ICBA). Remarkably, 18 of them won the Gold Medal, the highest honor in the recognition program, and one factory won the Bronze Medal for its excellent safety record in 2023.

Across the entire carbon black industry, ICBA conducted safety performance evaluations of 35 member manufacturing plants and recognized factories that performed beyond the industry average. It is worth mentioning that Cabot Company not only won more than half of all awards, but also included the highest proportion of gold medals, which fully demonstrated the company's outstanding strength in production safety.

Bart Kalkstein, Executive Vice President and President of the Reinforced Materials Group and Americas, said: "We are honored to be recognized again by the ICBA, which further confirms our industry leadership in safety performance. At Cabot, we always put health and safety first, and this concept has been deeply integrated into the company's culture. I am truly proud of our dedicated team around the world who work tirelessly to ensure the safety of every colleague, contractor and visitor. We will continue to strive to create a work environment that shares best practices and continuously improves safety performance and operational procedures."
