Recently, Wang Yandong, Secretary-General of the Additives Professional Committee of China Rubber Association and Deputy Secretary-General of the Carbon Black Branch, led a team to the Transportation and Marketing Center of Tianjin Petrochemical Company to conduct in-depth technical exchanges with the carbon black raw oil production technical team of Tianjin Petrochemical Company. This exchange focused on Tianjin Petrochemical's recent successful trial production of carbon black feedstock, which converts low-value catalytic cracking slurry oil into high-value carbon black feedstock.
Minister Guo Qiangzong of Tianjin Petrochemical Transportation and Marketing Department and other project production technicians participated in the exchange activities. According to Minister Guo, Tianjin Petrochemical's current refining and chemical production capacity is close to 16 million tons. In order to improve product quality and efficiency, the company adopted the catalytic cracking oil slurry inorganic membrane removal and purification technology jointly developed by Dalian Petrochemical Research Institute and Jiangsu Ceramico New Materials Co., Ltd., and successfully produced carbon black raw oil. It is expected that the annual output of this raw oil will reach 180,000 tons, and the plant is currently gradually increasing its output and continuously improving it.
During the exchange, representatives from Longxing Chemical, Jiangxi Black Cat Carbon Black, Qingzhou City Boao Carbon Black and Shandong Lianke New Materials evaluated the technical indicators of raw materials provided by Tianjin Petrochemical. They agreed that the raw oil is of high quality and comparable to similar foreign products, filling the gap in this kind of domestic carbon black raw oil. Various companies stated that they will carry out production tests based on sample analysis results to make technical preparations for large-scale use of such raw materials in the future.
According to the Carbon Black Industry Network, due to my country's abundant coal resources and relatively scarce oil resources, the carbon black industry has long relied mainly on coal-based raw materials such as coal tar. However, with the development of the coal chemical industry and the advancement of tar processing technology, the demand for coal tar continues to increase and the price continues to rise, bringing tremendous pressure to the carbon black industry, whose raw material costs account for more than 80%. The development and application of Tianjin Petrochemical's petroleum-based carbon black raw oil has undoubtedly brought new hope to the carbon black industry. Such raw materials will be expected to alleviate the current tight situation of coal-based carbon black raw oil and lay a solid foundation for the development of my country's carbon black industry. foundation. Secretary-General Wang Yandong also called on carbon black production companies to speed up the testing and application process and introduce this new raw material into my country's carbon black industry as soon as possible.
