Cabot's enhanced materials division, in its financial report ended March 31, 2024, showed that due to rising product prices and continued optimization of its product portfolio, the division has achieved steady growth in sales in the past three months, eventually reaching US$676 million. Its earnings (EBITDA) surged 18% year-on-year to US$166 million, reflecting the effectiveness of its pricing strategy and the profitability of its product portfolio in the new year. Cabot's global sales increased by 6% year-on-year, driven by strong performance in the Asian and European markets, with sales increasing by 21% and 4% respectively. Although sales in the American market declined, President and CEO Sean Keohane Still affirmed the continued excellent performance of the reinforcement materials division. Looking ahead, Cabot predicts that earnings in the next quarter will be the same as this quarter, while sales are expected to grow moderately month-on-month, and the American market is expected to resume growth.
