On May 7, Sichuan Panzhihua Vanadium and Titanium High-tech Zone signed an investment contract with Shenzhen Nabi Chemical Group Co., Ltd. for the annual processing of 4.3 million tons of high-titanium blast furnace slag and high-quality comprehensive utilization project. The project is planned to invest 12.08 billion yuan. After completion and production, the annual output value will reach 16.5 billion yuan, and about 3000 new jobs will be created. After completion, it will promote the comprehensive utilization of Panzhihua's titanium resources to a new level and accelerate the construction of Panzhihua's world-class vanadium and titanium industry base. Provide strong support.
Panzhihua vanadium-titanium magnetite ore has huge reserves, ranking first in the world in titanium resource reserves. Effectively improving the comprehensive utilization rate of titanium resources and solid waste resources has always been the direction of local efforts to promote the high-quality development of the titanium industry. In recent years, in accordance with the requirements of building a world-class vanadium-titanium industrial base, Panzhihua has deeply implemented the strategy of strengthening the city by industry, focusing on promoting the recycling and efficient utilization and transformation of vanadium-titanium resources, vigorously carrying out precise investment promotion, accelerating industrial chain extension, replenishing and strengthening chains, and providing new development. The project signed on the same day is the largest investment project since the establishment of Panzhihua Vanadium and Titanium High-tech Zone. The project is located in Like Area, covering an area of 4000 acres, and will be constructed in three phases.
Among them, in the first phase, a demonstration production line for high-quality comprehensive utilization of 300,000 tons of high-titanium blast furnace slag will be built; in the second phase, a standard production line for high-quality comprehensive utilization of 1 million tons of high-titanium blast furnace slag will be built; In the third phase, three standard production lines for high-quality comprehensive utilization of high-titanium blast furnace slag will be built.
The project uses high-titanium blast furnace slag, a bulk metallurgical solid waste generated in the iron-making process of vanadium-titanium magnetite blast furnace, as raw material, and adopts the world's first new pressure technology based on nitric acid combined with mature titanium chemical processes and advanced material processes to recover and extract valuable elements such as titanium, iron, magnesium, aluminum, calcium, and silicon, and co-produce corresponding high value-added products.
After the completion of the project, it will promote Panzhihua to build an industrial chain ecosystem for comprehensive utilization of solid waste resources such as "high-titanium blast furnace slag-titanium rich material-titanium dioxide/sponge titanium-titanium aluminum alloy", effectively improving the comprehensive utilization rate of titanium resources, and helping Build a world-class vanadium and titanium industry base.
