On April 11, it was reported that the first phase of Xinyi Silicon Industry (Yunnan) polysilicon project located in Kylin District Industrial Park, Yuezhou Town, Qujing City, Yunnan Province has now entered the final stage of pressure test. The project covers an area of about 795 acres and has a total investment of about 6 billion yuan. It is planned to build a production line with an annual output of 60,000 tons of electronic-grade polysilicon and 10,000 tons of white carbon black. The construction of the project is of great significance for connecting the upstream and downstream links of Qujing's silicon photovoltaic industry chain, accelerating the realization of a closed loop of the entire industry chain, and then consolidating Yunnan Province's core position in the silicon photovoltaic industry. At the same time, the project will also help Qujing City and even Yunnan Province occupy a more important position in the global photovoltaic industry and lay a solid foundation for building the "World Photovoltaic Capital."

According to the Carbon Black Industry Network, Sinochem Sanjian undertook civil and installation projects in multiple areas including white carbon black, silicon powder preparation, silicon powder warehouse, circulating water station and air separation nitrogen production (EPC) during this project. The successful advancement of the project benefits from Sinochem III's professional technology and superb craftsmanship, which provides a strong guarantee for the smooth implementation of the project.

The polysilicon project will officially start in February 2023. The total investment scale is expected to reach 20 billion yuan and the overall area is about 2580 acres. It is planned to build a production line with an annual output of 200,000 tons of polysilicon and 20,000 tons of white carbon black. The entire project will be divided into three phases.
