The project launch and implementation plan demonstration meeting of the "14th Five-Year Plan" National Key R & D Plan "Development and Utilization of Strategic Mineral Resources" key special project-"Efficient Recovery and High-value Utilization Technology of Vanadium Titan-Magnetite" led by Panzhihua Steel, was held in Chengdu on March 22. At the kick-off meeting, Pangang awarded expert appointment letters to 10 project experts, joining forces with China's top forces to jointly contribute to the safe supply of national strategic mineral resources. According to reports, in order to break through the limitations of traditional vanadium-titanium-magnetite resource development, raw material extraction, and material preparation, and solve the key scientific problems and technical bottlenecks faced by the efficient development and high-value utilization of complex vanadium-titanium-magnetite resources in China, Panzhihua will take the lead. The "14th Five-Year Plan" national key R & D tasks jointly undertaken by 10 units including Zhengzhou University, Central South University, Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and the Institute of Process of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will form a fine separation of titanium-magnetite concentrate, The key core technologies of the entire industry chain, including efficient recovery of fine-grained ilmenite, clean extraction of vanadium from vanadium slag, and high-value preparation of vanadium-based materials, provide scientific and technological support for the efficient recovery and high-value utilization of China's vanadium-titanium strategic resources.
At the subsequent implementation plan demonstration meeting, more than 60 experts, professors and project participants from relevant fields across the country listened to the overall goals, research content and expected results of the project, as well as the status reports on the implementation plans of the five topics; the project experts Based on the content of the plan, fully questioned and discussed the project and formed demonstration opinions.
The opinion is that the project takes vanadium-titanium magnetite in the Panxi area as the research object, carries out systematic research on core issues such as the dissociation and difficulty in recycling fine-grained ilmenite, and forms an efficient recovery and high-value utilization of vanadium-titanium resources in vanadium-titanium magnetite. Technical plan, and relying on industry leaders to build a series of demonstration projects or create project demonstrations. This will greatly improve China's technical level and R & D capabilities in the development and utilization of vanadium and titanium resources. It will have significant social benefits in ensuring the supply and demand pattern of China's strategic resources, and is of great significance for Pangang to accelerate the formation of new productive forces to support economic development. The project implementation plan is systematic and holistic, with reasonable technical routes, prominent research content, sufficient risk analysis, appropriate research methods and response measures, and sound organizational and management systems. Experts attending the meeting unanimously agreed that the project and topic implementation plan should pass the demonstration. In response to the demonstration opinions and suggestions put forward by the expert group, the project team then conducted in-depth discussions on the implementation plan and made further modifications and improvements.
