On March 21, Goldsmith Eggleton LLC(referred to as GE) recently announced that its carbon black masterbatch (CBMB) factory has successfully concluded after a one-year in-depth improvement plan. The improvement focuses on reducing carbon black and rubber processing during the mixing process, optimizing ergonomic design, and significantly improving consistency between different production batches.
G E invested a lot of resources in this improvement, including the installation of a new internal mixer, full automation of the material feeding line, upgrading the air filtration system, and introducing a PLC controlled precision weighing system. These measures together constitute the core content of the factory modernization.
According to the Carbon Black Industry Network, GE has also re-planned the layout of the production line to simplify the process and reduce the amount of raw materials handled. Through these improvements, the factory's production efficiency has been significantly improved, the ergonomic design has been further optimized, and the consistency of the mixing process has been greatly improved.
Rob Eggleton, business manager of G E, said that the commissioning of the new mixer is expected to bring considerable production capacity improvements, which will not only help the company consolidate its position in the existing customer base, but also provide more opportunities to expand new customer bases. He emphasized that G E has always been committed to serving the rubber industry and supporting the continued growth of this dynamic market.
Eggleton also revealed that the plant's improvement plan is part of the company's long-term strategy to provide innovative polymer solutions to the market while focusing on sustainability and the development of a circular economy. It is worth mentioning that GE successfully obtained the QA-CER System 2 certification in 2023, which is an affirmation of the company's efforts in sustainability indicators and circular economy support.
He further explained: "In order to meet the QA-CER standard, we conducted a comprehensive audit of all aspects of the factory, including manufacturing, technology, sales, management and raw material procurement. This ensures that our products fully meet sustainability requirements and provides strong support for customers to achieve their sustainability goals." This certification not only verifies the quality of GE recycled products, but also proves the company's firm determination to promote green development in the industry.
