The output of titanium slag (TiO2) was 11.11 million tons, down 7% from 2022. After process safety incidents in June and July, two furnaces at our RTIT Quebec plant remain offline. In the fourth quarter, we retired an additional furnace, which will be rebuilt in 2024.

The Pilbara plant produced 331.5 million tons of iron ore (100%), an increase of 2% from 2022. With the support of the continued implementation of the production safety system, productivity was improved, and Gudai-Darri increased production capacity to 43 million tons per year within 12 months of being put into production, far offsetting the impact of mine depletion. Shipments were 331.8 million tons (100% benchmark), an increase of 3% from 2022 (+10 million tons), the second highest on record, and inventories were in good condition at the end of the year.
