India's Bora Carbon Black Company recently solemnly commemorated the 65th anniversary of its factory in Cubatão, Brazil. The factory is located on the São Paulo border, only 12 kilometers from the coastal city of Santos, and has consolidated Bora Carbon Black Company's important position in the South American carbon black industry.

The Cubatão plant, opened in 1958, has been committed to meeting local and wider regional carbon black needs, mainly serving the tire, MRG, plastics, coatings, inks and professional industries. The plant meets its energy needs through on-site cogeneration facilities, not only for internal use, but also providing electricity to the surrounding power grid.

John Loudermilk, President and CEO of Bora Carbon Black, said while celebrating the 65th anniversary of the plant: "We are very honored to usher in an important milestone in the 65th year of the Brazilian plant. The plant has been a mainstay of carbon black demand in South America for more than 60 years, maintains close contact with almost every nearby customer and maintains excellent operating standards. Over the years, the company has achieved significant growth in the Brazilian carbon black industry through capacity growth, technological advancement, and a strong commitment to innovation and operational excellence."

It is understood that the plant's safety and environmental performance has been widely recognized by the industry, making an important contribution to the steady development of Bora Carbon Black Company in South America.
