According to the latest data, the total global carbon black production in 2022 will be 13.59 million tons, a decrease of 3.3% from last year's 14.049 million tons. Among them, China still firmly occupies the throne of global carbon black production, with its carbon black production accounting for approximately 43.8% of global total production in 2022.

According to the ranking of producing countries, the top ten global carbon black production in 2022 are:

1)China, output 5.948 million tons

2)United States, production 1.437 million tons

3)Russia, output 950,000 tons

4)India, output of 950,000 tons

5)South Korea, output of 620,000 tons

6)Japan, output of 560,000 tons

7)Thailand, output of 400,000 tons

8)Brazil, production of 400,000 tons

9)Germany, output of 250,000 tons

10)Italy, output of 245,000 tons

Overall, the Asia-Pacific region remains the main region for global carbon black production, with carbon black production reaching 8.68 million tons, accounting for 64% of the total global production. North America ranked second, with an output of 1.64 million tons, accounting for 12%. Carbon black production in Russia and Eastern European countries reached 1.27 million tons, accounting for 9% of total global production. The output of seven Western European countries is 810,000 tons, accounting for 6%. Central and South America and Africa and the Near and Middle Eastern regions account for 6% and 3% of total global production respectively.

It is reported that the above data mainly comes from the 2023 edition of the "Carbon Black Yearbook"(No. 73) released by the Japan Carbon Black Association on August 31, 2023. The yearbook quotes statistics from CTC International in the United States. China's production data uses data released by the Carbon Black Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association (5.948 million tons), which is slightly different from the data in the yearbook (5.80 million tons). Therefore, according to the data released by the Carbon Black Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association, Japan's Carbon " Some necessary revisions have been made to the data on China's production and global total production in the 2023 edition of Black Yearbook.
