Recently, the Polish government announced sanctions against Makrochem SA, a European carbon black distributor in Lublin, and the company's owner, forcing the company to suspend all business and trading activities. The move came after McCrocam was found to have violated legal provisions related to Ukraine incursions and national security. The sanctions include a freeze on the "funds and economic resources" of the company's owner, Igor Leenberg, and a ban on any payments made to the company or its representative offices.

A sanctions order signed by Polish Minister of Interior and Administration Mariusz Kami cited the company's allocation of € 807,000 and € 558,300 to certain companies in the chemical, tire and carbon black industries in Belarus and Russia, respectively. The sanctions also list a number of Russian tire companies that produce tires for armored vehicles that were widely used in the military campaign to invade Ukraine.

McRock is a carbon black distributor. According to its website information, it has three transfer stations in Poland and one transfer station in Spain. The company has a storage capacity of more than 50,000 tons, has more than 140 bulk silo vehicles, and annual deliveries are expected to be approximately 200,000 tons, mainly used in the global tire and rubber industries.
