Recently, the National Energy Infrastructure and Management Standardization Technical Committee (TC20)(referred to as the National Energy Standards Committee) held a national standard review meeting on the "Energy Consumption Limits for Units of Tires and Carbon Black Products" in Beijing. More than 30 members from the National Energy Standards Committee and representatives of the standard drafting group participated. After careful questioning and in-depth discussion, the review team unanimously approved the review of this standard.

The revision of this standard originated from a notice issued by the National Standardization Administration Committee on December 29, 2020, which included the formulation of a revision plan and a foreign language version plan for relevant standards. According to this notice, the originally independent "Energy Consumption Limits for Unit Products of Tires"(GB29449-2012) and "Energy Consumption Limits for Unit Products of Carbon Black"(GB29440-2012) were integrated into a national standard called "Energy Consumption Limits for Units of Tires and Carbon Black". The plan number for this standard is 20205267-Q-469.

At the meeting, experts unanimously agreed that this standard was formulated based on an in-depth understanding of the development status of the industry. Through investigation and statistical analysis of a large amount of energy consumption data, this standard has comprehensively integrated and revised the energy consumption limits for unit products of carbon black for tires and rubber. The implementation of this standard will help optimize energy consumption management in the production process of tires and carbon black, promote the industry to better improve energy conservation measures, move towards high-quality and low energy consumption, and contribute to the realization of national energy conservation and consumption reduction goals. Make important contributions.

The various technical indicators determined by this national standard have been scientifically and rationally demonstrated, are highly operable, and are at the leading level in China. In addition, the standard formulation process strictly follows relevant writing requirements, and the materials required for review are complete and meet the requirements.

Experts at the meeting also proposed to amend the name of this standard from the original "Energy Consumption Limit per Unit Product in the Rubber Industry" to "Energy Consumption Limit per Unit Product of Tires and Carbon Black". It was suggested that the drafting team review the standard based on the review and revision opinions. After the revision, an approval draft will be formed and submitted to the National Standardization Administration Committee for approval and release as a mandatory national standard.
