In the first half of this year, our city achieved a total foreign trade value of RMB 2.53 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17%. Among them, imports were 700 million yuan and exports were 1.83 billion yuan. The city's foreign trade import and export maintained a steady and improved development trend.

State-owned enterprises and private enterprises both achieved growth. The import and export of state-owned enterprises was 1.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.8%, accounting for 57.1%; the import and export scale of private enterprises continued to expand, with import and export of 1.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.1%, and the proportion increased to 42.9%.

South Africa continues to be our city's largest trading partner. Our city's imports and exports to South Africa are 360 million yuan; Australia is the second largest trading partner, with imports and exports of 260 million yuan; our city's imports and exports to Mexico, the United States and Kazakhstan are 210 million yuan, 190 million yuan and 120 million yuan respectively. Our city's trade volume with the above five countries accounted for 45.2%. The import and export value with other RCEP member states was 660 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 10.8%, accounting for 26.1%.

Steel rails have become a new growth point for exports. Exports of rails and titanium dioxide were 1.26 billion yuan, accounting for 49.9%. Among them, exported rails were 710 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 183.7%, accounting for 28.1%, becoming the city's number one export product; exported titanium dioxide was 550 million yuan, accounting for 21.8%.
