On July 4, it was reported that Kumho Tire (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. recently successfully loaded a batch of tires on board and prepared to export them to Switzerland. This batch of automobile tires with a total value of about 230,000 yuan will benefit from the China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement and enjoy zero-tariff treatment.
Kumho Tire (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. saved more than 8500 yuan in tariffs on this batch of tires with a China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement certificate of origin. The person in charge of the company said that this move will greatly enhance Kumho Tire's product competitiveness in the Swiss market.
It is understood that the China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement will be implemented on July 1, 2014 and is the first free trade agreement signed between China and a developed European country. Kumho Tire (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. began to use the certificate of origin for customs clearance in the first year after the agreement came into effect.
Kumho Tire mainly imports natural rubber from Malaysia and other countries to produce radial tires, and then sells it to ASEAN and Europe. The tires exported to Switzerland this time will further expand the company's business in the international market and strengthen trade cooperation with Switzerland.
