Continental announced the appointment of 51-year-old Dr. Thomas Meureers as Chief Technology Officer of Continental's Automotive Group China in China. This appointment means that Dr. Murong will be responsible for leading the innovative R & D and technology strategic deployment of Continental Group China.
Dr. Mulonte reports directly to Mr. Towne, President and CEO of China, and functionally reports to Mr. Gilles Mabire, Chief Technology Officer of Continental Group Automotive. He replaces Dr. Karl Fuchs, who returned to Germany for work reasons.
As the central functional department of Continental Group's Automotive Group, Dr. Mulonte will lead the China team of Continental Group's Innovation and Technology Department and is committed to supporting forward-looking technology research and development in the five major business groups. His R & D work will focus on cutting-edge technologies and modular solutions in core areas such as software-defined automobiles, autonomous driving and mobility.
